Frank Klausz: The Mentor
With his success in completing the most stunning woodworking projects, Frank Klausz chose to impart his knowledge and expertise in making wood works of arts. His books and videos, applications and procedures in wood finishing, making mortise and tenon joints, biscuit joinery, and ideas about using hand tools are all needed in finishing a product. He is the teacher you will want in a woodworking class as you become more informed about woodworking techniques like the hand-cut dovetail and the sliding dovetail.
He does everything and he does it with greatness.
When he chose to educate young minds to become more dedicated and committed in their pursuit of knowledge in woodworks, he was able to cast the spark. He is fond of tuning the chisels and using the saws as he finds delight in refining a fixture that requires fine-tuning. The result would be impeccable and even the most powerful machine in the world can’t yield such beauty.

The illustrious Scandinavian style bench that is personally designed and completed by Frank Klausz is considered the most beautiful workbench in the world. It was a clear indication of his prowess in utilizing the classic hand tools that serve to be useful in woodworking and carpentry. For him, most of the steps in completing the project are best done if he uses his hands and his tools. And when you see the finish product you will become a believer because some tasks can be completed easily and more efficiently if you use your bare hands the way Frank Klausz does.
Frank Klausz’s Creations Will Last a Number of Lifetimes
Since Frank Klausz is a man of unyielding expertise in woodworking it is no surprise to learn that every creation he makes cost a fortune. His competency in making wooden creations like furniture pieces are reflected in every piece he creates wherein materials are handpicked by the master himself. When he works, his old hands seem to be tied up with the chisel and the wood that he is carving. Every mark that he creates on the wood leaves a deep impression and cuts that will soon be shaped into something beautiful, something smooth, spotless, and superior. His layouts are then transformed into a well-polished and fine-tuned piece of art that bears the famous trademark: Frank Klausz.
Such are the powerful and intelligent words of Frank Klausz. There is no way his works will not be appreciated and recognized by art lovers. There is no way his constructions will not inspire the young apprentices who are also aiming for a new milestone by following the footsteps of Frank Klausz.
Trained and honed in his father’s two small workrooms: the workroom for crafting benches and the room for the machinery. Frank Klausz started his task of creating wooden benches using his most important tools: his hands and head. He did the cutting of the lumber himself. He carried his toolbox that contained his chisels and saws and he did the apprenticeship for his father. He learned fast because he was enthused and driven. And with his father’s words, “after ten or fifteen years you’re going to be a pretty good beginner yourself,” and his father was kind of right because he was good but he didn’t become a beginner all his life. His training with his father helped him become meticulous. He painstakingly looked for details that weren’t quite right. Such a task was given to him by his father to make the most of his apprenticeship. He was ready to pave the boundaries because by European standards, it was unusual for Frank Klausz to enter into formal contractual apprenticeship for his own father. And for him, he wasn’t working for his father; he was working for his master.
His ability to track the less traveled road and desire to go against the norm paid off. Now, Frank Klausz and his creations are recognized because every piece is crafted using a woodworking technique that only the master cabinet maker can perfect.
It seems that retiring from woodworking is not an option if you are going to ask Frank Klausz. This is good news to those who want to learn from what he has to offer in the world of woodworking.
