Think You Can Dance?

March 4, 2008

Sabra DancePut on your dancing shoes and head to the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles on Thursday to try out for “So You Think You Can Dance”. Registration begins at 8 a.m., and they suggest you “dress to impress and show us your best moves!” All types of dance backgrounds are encouraged to audition.

This show provides a once in a lifetime opportunity for young, talented and competitive dancers to perform on national television and get coached by top choreographers for a chance to win the title of America’s Favorite Dancer.

Last year’s winner, Sabra Johnson, received $250,000 and along with the Top 10 dancers performed in a nationwide sold out tour.

Want to try out? Your music must be on CD format only and must be an “original” song commercially available (in other words, it cannot be a re-mix of a song, or a song downloaded from the internet or websites). You must also be prepared to dance to another song from a list provided at the audition.

To audition for the show you must be between the ages of 18 and 30 at the time of the audition and either a U.S. Citizen, legal permanent resident of the U.S., or possess a current legal visa allowing you to seek employment freely in the U.S.

When available, you will need to print out the audition form, fill it out and bring it with you to the auditions.
