Rehab, Amy Winehouse Score Five Grammys

The 50th annual Grammy Awards wrapped up last night, and “Rehab” seems to look good on Amy Winehouse, who earned five Grammys, including Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best New Artist, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, and Best Pop Vocal Album for “Rehab” and the album Back to Black.

Album Of The Year was picked up by Herbie Hancock for River: The Joni Letters. Best Male Pop Vocal Performance went to Justin Timberlake for “What Goes Around…Comes Around”. Maroon 5’s “Makes Me Wonder” won Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals. Justin Timberlake’s “Lovestoned/I Think She Knows” won Best Dance Recording.

Icon Bruce Springsteen won both Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance and Best Rock Song with “Radio Nowhere”. Best Rock album went to Foo Fighters for Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace. The White Stripes’ Icky Thump picked up Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals and Best Alternative Music Album. And Best Electronic/Dance Album was won by The Chemical Brothers for We Are The Night.

Kanye West won four Grammys, including Best Rap Solo Performance for “Stronger”, Best Rap Performance By A Duo Or Group for “Southside – Common”, Best Rap Song for “Good Life”, and Best Rap Album for Graduation. Alicia Keys picked up two Grammys, including Best Female R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Song for “No One”, and Prince received Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for “Future Baby Mama”.

In the country category, both Best Female Country Vocal Performance and Best Country Song went to Carrie Underwood for “Before He Cheats”, Best Male Country Vocal Performance went to Keith Urban for “Stupid Boy”, Best Country Album went to Vince Gill for These Days, and the Eagles won Best Country Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals for the song “How Long”.
