Prince Harry Fights

It has been confirmed that Prince Harry, 23, is a second lieutenant in the Blues and Royals regiment of the Household Cavalry, and has spent the last 10 weeks in the Helmand province of war-torn Afghanistan, this relayed from British army officials to People magazine.

The prince’s spokesman Paddy Harverson said in a statement: “Prince Harry is very proud to serve his country on operations alongside his fellow soldiers and to do the job he has been trained for.”

The Palace and the Ministry of Defense in the U.K. were hoping to keep the Prince’s mission secret to safeguard his life and those of his fellow soldiers. However, the story was recently picked up by foreign outlets, so the officials confirmed the news.

Last year, the prince made it clear that he wanted to serve on the frontline, and when he was not able to go to Iraq last spring, at the Concert for Diana he gave a shout-out to his mates who had gone there without him.
