The Fox network isn’t the only game in town this spring, but thanks to the writer’s strike, the landscape for mid-season has changed a bit from previous years. However, there are several other new shows cropping up soon on the small screen. Among them, “Oprah’s Big Give”, slated for March 2 on ABC, and “Unhitched”, another new Fox show, also airing March 2 at 9 p.m.
As for returning shows, viewers can expect to dig more of FX’s “Dirt” on March 2 at 10 p.m. The sweet social experiment, “Beauty and the Geek”, returns March 11 on the CW at 8 p.m. Another family-friendly show, “Greek”, is back March 24 on ABC Family at 8 p.m. For those who like it hot, “Hell’s Kitchen” is back April 1 on Fox at 9 p.m. Sci-Fi fans will be happy to note that “Battlestar Galactica”, on, appropriately enough, the Sci-Fi channel, starts on April 4 at 10 p.m. And Fox has one more new show up its sleeve, “Canterbury’s Law”, which debuts April 14 at 9p.m. That’s just a taste of the mid-season television landscape.
Regarding the shows that were on hiatus due to the strike, some will be shooting new episodes before the season is over, so viewers will get at least a handful more new episodes to tide them over until fall. For more information, click here.
