Multiple Dramas Among New DVD Releases

Yesterday a few new DVDs were released, among them American Gangster, starring Denzel Washington, Russell Crowe and Chiwetel Ejiofor in a drama about a detective who tracks down an enterprising drug lord in New York City;

Michael Clayton, starring George Clooney, Tom Wilkinson and Tilda Swinton in a drama about a lawyer known for fixing disasters who gets his biggest case; Rendition, starring Reese Witherspoon, Jake Gyllenhaal and Meryl Streep, in a drama about an Egyptian-born engineer who is kidnapped and taken to a secret facility; In the Valley of Elah, starring Tommy Lee Jones, Susan Sarandon and Charlize Theron in a drama about the father of a war veteran who searches for his missing son; and Margot at the Wedding, starring Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Jack Black in an indie comedy about a woman’s visit to her engaged sister, which strains their relationship.

Other notable DVD releases this week include COPS: 20th Anniversary Edition; Peanuts: It’s The Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown; and Walker, Texas Ranger: The Fourth Season.
