Air fares are falling, with airlines engaged in price wars. This might be good news for holiday makers but at what cost?

During my recent trip to India, my wife booked us on Economy with Kuwait Airways. Our experience with Economy class on Kuwait Airways has been terrible.

We flew on an Airbus 320 that looked quite old and seriously in need of service. The seats were quite worn, the foot rests were broken and the arm rests were so hard, we had bruises on our elbows.

The last time I travelled Economy was 5 years ago and things have really changed sine then.

The flight attendants also seemed quite unpolished and lacked basic service skills. In fact one of them dumped a glass of water in my lap. I had to travel for a couple of hours with wet pants.

On the onward journey, the mini TV in front of me did not work and I had to spend 6 hours on the flight with nothing to entertain me. On the return journey, the TV worked but there was no audio. So had to watch movies with no sound!

So in the race to reduce prices and get more passengers, airlines these days seem to be pushing the limits of the kind of bad service that you would never expect from big brands.

The trip was fantastic, albiet a little exhausting. But that is because we convered a lot in the span of 9 days. Nikki and Sahi had tons of funs and I will be uploading all our pictures on the photos section of this blog.
